The kingdom life
Jesus urged us to pray that the kingdom of God will come so that his will will be done here on earth. In the kingdom of God, it is only his will that is done and because of this, there is no problem in heaven. Though earth is supposed to be like that, it is not so. Here on earth, it is the will of man that is done. That is why the earth is out of course. The selfishness of man does not allow peace to reign.There are certain fruits of the kingdom that distinguish us from all else. As people of God we must strive to show forth the fruits of the kingdom life. It is by our fruits that we will be known. If we do not take our lives seriously as people of God and strive to show forth fruits of the kingdom, the kingdom will be taken away from us and handed over to people who will live out the kingdom life. The kingdom life is the spirit life which is God himself.
Our dominant purpose in this life should be living the kingdom life and bearing much fruits. Without the evidence of fruits, there is no maturity and prosperity whatsoever. In this case there will no reason to continue to nurture this fruit tree. This is because it will become a waste of time and precious resources of heaven. We must strive to keep the kingdom by showing the fruits of it so that God can trust us. Otherwise, it will be given to others who put in the effort to live the kingdom life.
